Mariah Haq

Mariah HuQ is a Chattanooga, Tennessee native who discovered her passion for storytelling at an early age, honing her skills at Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She began her career as a video news editor and associate producer at WRCB-TV before hosting “Trendz on 3.” Mariah later transitioned to pharmaceutical and medical device sales in Atlanta while raising her two children: Lauren, a 20-year-old premed student at Spelman College, and Ethan, an 18-year-old freshman in aviation at Hampton University in Virginia, alongside her husband, Dr. Aydin HuQ. Best known as the creator, co-star, and executive producer of Bravo TV’s Married to Medicine, Mariah made history with the first original franchise developed by an African American woman for the network. Since its 2013 premiere, the show has attracted over 27 million viewers and is now in its 11th season. Mariah is the pulse of pop culture, captivating millions and coining many of today’s most notable phrases like “I got the receipts,” “Yaaasss,” and “throwing shade.”
