Meet Mariah Huq. She’s the creator and founder of Sleek Co-Work, and the genius behind Sleek’s entire concept. Creating solutions and unique ideas that show different perspectives on how to view life is kind of Mariah’s thing. She uses her God-given ingenuity, fueled by creativity. She values creativity in herself and others.
Sleek Co-Work is a necessity that nobody thought of creating, that is, until Mariah. It’s a workspace for the creative to meet and network, and make everything from podcasts to entire feature films, commercials, music videos…there are endless possibilities. The most important benefit is being around like-minded people— that’s an inspiration in itself. Imagine the great partnerships that could form at Sleek.
If Mariah looks familiar, she was on a successful reality show on Bravo famously titled “Married to Medicine,” where she was one of the show’s leading characters. If that isn’t enough, Mariah was the show’s creator and executive producer.
A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mariah graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a double major in business and communications. She started her career with WRCB-TV, the local NBC affiliate, then worked her way up to associate producer, then to producer and hosting the lifestyle show “Trends on 3.”
After spending five years at the station, Mariah decided to move to Atlanta. She met and married Dr. Aydin Huq, a native of Bangladesh, and the happy couple went on to have two wonderful children, Lauren and Ethan. Inspired by the diversity in her marriage and family, Mariah saw a niche in the market for children of multicultural families. She joined forces with her sister Lake to start Jewel and Jem, a line of bedding that celebrates mixed heritages.
Fast forward to the present, Mariah is a successful entrepreneur with many ventures to her credit and is jazzed up about Sleek Co-Work. Mariah’s goal is to have multiple modern locations in small traditional towns that wouldn’t ordinarily have access to a posh contemporary state-of-the-art facility at an affordable price.
Mariah is a wonderful mother to her children, an equal partner to her loving husband, and an entrepreneur with a successful track record of ventures. She credits her partnership with God and the connection to her creativity for leading such a wonderful and unique life.
